| Comments | ORDINARY LOVE is a heart-warming love story about a middle aged married couple Joan and Tom Thompson who following the Christmas holidays enjoy alone time together in their home, going about an ordinary life. Complex and mature themes of a couple dealing with the wife's breast cancer diagnosis and the impact the condition has on each of them and the stress it puts on their marriage and relationship The themes explore love and support, compassion, a lasting marital bond, friendship and companionship, being positive whilst facing an unknown future, being a supportive husband, caring and sharing, pain and suffering, dealing with the side effects of chemotherapy including hair loss and baldness and the death of a loved one. The themes which are treated sensitively within a realistic life setting, may carry a mild sense of threat and menace as the loved ones of the cancer patients do not want them to die. The content is not suitable for children under 13 years as it might disturb, upset and cause them emotional, moral and psychological harm. |
