The material contains strong impact complex and mature themes which are presented in a context of a horror action genre. Themes explore a group of strangers brought together on a mysterious island to fulfil fantasies, rectifying and reliving the past, experiencing mysterious occurrences, time travel, experience a series of abductions, playing mind games, survival, deceit, sacrifice, fear, going through delusions, abuses, psychotic breaks, psychological trauma, regrets, obsessions and paranoia. Characters who get caught up in their fantasies stay on the island or die. Only a few get granted permission to leave. Themes are suspenseful, morbid, mysterious, sordid with existential fears that are traumatic and at times fatal. Themes are likely to be disturbing, distressing and morally harmful for the cognitive development of children younger than 16 years. The intensity of themes is also heightened by sound, lighting and resolutions which amplifies the realism. However there are positive themes that may provide wisdom in life’s turmoil, with messages of not having regrets, of forgiveness and doing good for others. The central theme of revenge is likely to be taken out of context by much younger children, therefore the material may not be suitable to children younger than 16 years. The positive resolution of themes involves different plots which involve violence and death.
