Take the Lead
You want a man with a slow hand?
Based on the story of a real-life dance teacher, this film brings the usual Hollywood sports-underdog yarn to the dance floor. The teacher invited himself to teach ballroom dancing at an underprivileged high school, and after the intial resistance from his students, transformed them into capable dancers. In the process he raised their self-esteem which had profound effects on their life paths. In true Hollywood fashion, these poor kids have to dance against the rich little snobs, and guess who comes off best?
