A scientist in a laboratory attempts to develop a vaccine for the West Nile Virus, working with mosquito genes. Therefore he experiments on death row inmates. But one of those inmates tries to flee, and because of an accident the murderer gets infested with radio activity and the ''DANN'' virus. This turns him into a creature, half man and half mosquito. Now he is on the search for fresh blood...
