The Miracle of the Cards

The Miracle of the Cards Craig Shergold (Thomas Sangster) is an eight-year-old boy with a brain tumour. Craig's mother, Marianne (Catherine Oxenberg), already tormented by terrifying premonitions of her son's death, fears the worst when Craig is sent to London's Great Ormond Street Hospital after a brain scan reveals he needs a lifesaving operation.

After receiving nearly one hundred Get Well cards, mother and son decide to break the existing Guiness World Record appealing to people around the globe to write in. When it is revealed the operation has not worked and Craig needs further intensive surgery, Marianne is determined that achieving this goal will give him the will to keep living. Their campaign receives world-wide attention and the cards flood in. Even stars like Tom Cruise, Sean Connery and Richard Gere, inspired by the boy's remarkable bravery, put pen to paper.

But among the deluge of mail there is a lifeline -- a letter from a groundbreaking American surgeon (Richard Thomas) who has developed a new technique that he believes can save Craig. Even though he's very weak, the family travels to America -- Marianne is convinced this is the miracle ffor which they've been praying.

The Miracle of the Cards is the amazing story of a family's unquestioning faith in the power of miracles.
