Charlie Hudson is engaged to Claire Parker. Claire has arranged a weekend get-away for the two of them in New York at the Plaze Hotel to plan their upcoming wedding. Due to a last minute business opportunity, Claire is unexpectedly called away and Charlie is left alone.Anna Penn, a schoolteacher, arrives at the Plaza Hotel at the same time to plan for her own wedding with fiancé David Allen, who is unable to take part in the weekend.
Consequently, Charlie meets Anna, and alone without their respective fiancés, they end up spending the next three days planning their weddings together. What started out as a weekend of planning becomes a weekend of self-discovery that will change each other's life forever.
