Have you ever watched a documentary on the bizarre mating practices of some species of animal and wondered how humans would stack up? With all the intricacies of the modern human mating dance, fraught with so many opportunities for miscues and failures, it's amazing that people get together at all, let alone mate and reproduce. That's the premise of this romantic comedy, a quirky, irreverent 'mockumentary' look at love, life and dating in '90's America as seen through the eyes of a somewhat perplexed extra-terrestrial narrator (Frasier's David Hyde Pierce).We follow Billy (Mackenzie Astin) and Jenny (Baywatch's Carmen Electra) from the introductions through the dreaded pre-mating rituals of first dates, parental introductions, mindless friends' approvals and sharing the bathroom. Everything seems to go wrong, but in the end maybe they'll end up where the journey was supposed to take them.
