An aging football coach finds himself struggling with his personal and professional life while trying to hold his team and his ideals in check. A star quarterback has been knocked out of the game, and a naive player replaces him only to become exposed to the world of sports and become a danger to himself and his players. Meanwhile the coach finds himself constantly struggling with the team owner's daughter who is power hungry and money orientated and determined to move the team out.
