Late Night

They’re giving comedy a rewrite.

Late Night
In this variant on the “A Star is Born” theme, we kick of with a pioneer and legendary female host on the late-night talk-show circuit. When she’s accused of being a woman who hates women, she puts affirmative action on the to-do list, and hires a young woman to join her all-male writers’ room. But it may be too little too late, as the star faces the reality of low ratings and a network that wants to replace her. Wanting to prove she’s not merely a diversity hire who’s disrupting the comfort of the brotherhood, the new girl is determined to help the star revitalize her show and career... and possibly effect even bigger change at the same time.

What the Critics say

24.com
Bashiera Parker quote iconGlaringly obvious or not Late Night comes together almost like a romantic comedy of sorts, where everything, and everyone, is just meant to be.

Leon van Nierop quote iconEk sou dit vir vroue aanbeveel wat op ‘n Saterdagoggend behoefte het om saam met mekaar te kuier, en iewers ‘n fliek tussenin in te pas.

T. Durgin quote iconUnfortunately, Late Night is one of those movies that too often tries to goose its audience into laughing and responding to its own script.
