The Jungle Book (3D)

The legend will never be the same.

The Jungle Book (3D)
Walt Disney's much-loved (and much-released) version of Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book gets an update and a new lease of life in this combo live-action-with-CGI version. Mowgli is played by a human, with the computers taking care of the backgrounds and animals. Set in the jungles of India, Mowgli is raised from a baby by wolves, after his parents are killed. Now that he is getting older, a tiger returns to the area, and the wolves decide that Mowgli must return to his own kind for his own safety. They task a panther to escort him, but Mowgli doesn't want to go, and hooks up with a laid-back bear, and they have various adventures together, before they bump into the tiger. This version is a lot daker than the original so the little ones may need comfort. This film is releasing in 2D, 3D, 3D IMAX and 4DX, this is the 3D version.

Jim Judy quote iconWhile not quite matching the lofty standard set earlier this year by Zootopia, this talking animal flick easily takes home the silver medal, what with its pleasing mixture of action, drama, high adventure, comedy and memorable characters. Engaging and entertaining from start to finish.
