When the Game Stands Tall

It's not how hard you fall, it's how you get back up

When the Game Stands Tall
Another sports story, of losers coming back to win, but with a twist. The losers in this case had a record 151-winning streak behind them, achieved over 12 years. Inspired by a true story, a real-life adversity leaves the team reeling. They must decide if the sacrifice, commitment, and teamwork they have always trusted in can rebuild what is now disintegrating around them.

Cape Times
Stephen Farber quote iconFormulaic sports drama fumbles to touchdown.

ReelViews
James Berardinelli quote iconWhen the Game Stands Tall is too intent upon tweaking our emotions that it loses sight of some potentially powerful issues about hero worship and how the pressure to succeed can be damaging. Some viewers may react well to this material. Others will find themselves containing their gag reflexes.
