An elderly British couple with marital issues decide to take a train trip to Paris in the hope of rekindling their love. Once there, they bump into an old friend, who is very wealthy and has a young trophy wife. The old woman soon feels that she has been dealt a raw deal in life, which leads to 'interesting' conversations with her husband.
