Warm Bodies

He's still dead, but he's getting warmer.

Warm Bodies
Romeo and Juliet in the time of zombies. Yet another inter-species love story, this time using zombies instead of vampires as the frustrated lover. After eating some brains, a zombie absorbed his victims memories and fell in love with said victim's girl friend. She is a survivor and promptly forgets her ex while being swept off her feet by this new beau. However there are two major problems for the lovers: the other zombies would love to eat her, and her dad is the leader of the militia charged with hunting down and killing zombies. How will true love surmount these obstacles?

Ilan Preskovsky quote iconThere's little here you haven't seen before, but Warm Bodies is a warm, fun and funny little film that is far better value than most of the paranormal, teen-romance that has been doing the rounds for the last few years.

James Berardinelli quote icon It wants to be funny, charming, scary, and dramatic. It ends up being a little of each but not any one.

ScreenIt
C. Fuchs quote iconHopefully, Warm Bodies will be the last zombie flick for a while as the undead have definitely overstayed their welcome and over-crowded both TV and especially the movies of recent. Should this be the last entry, at least the genre will go out on a clever, sometimes funny and upbeat note, with even some heart -- yum, yum -- thrown in for good measure.
