Writer-director David Ayer sticks to the genre he does so well, and rolls out a superior cop-buddy movie. We follow two friends as they are transferred to a tough neighbourhood, where they soon fall foul of one of the largest drug networks in the country. These gangsters put out a contract on the two cops, leading to the grand finale as they fight for their lives.
