A British Channel 4 television drama, recut as a film. It takes a look at modern-day slavery in Britain, where poor women are exploited as maids, typically by foreign diplomats. The main character is a young woman, born a princess, who is taken as a child and sold into slavery. She ends up housebound in England, desperate to escape. Help and hope arrives in an unexpected form.
