Green Lantern

One of us... becomes one of them.

Green Lantern
The latest in the (never-ending) stream of Super Heroes hits global screens. Our hero is a cocky pilot with some baggage of his father's death, and a close female friend who should be much closer. Meanwhile, back on the other side of the Universe, there is an major battle going on. One of the good guys makes it to Earth before expiring, and passes on a Magic Ring (no, not that one) to our hero, in the process turning him into the Green Lantern. He heads off across the stars to the raging battle, and helps out. He returns to Earth to discover that his best buddy has now been infected with Parallax, the Evil he has just finished battling. With his female friend as pivot, the two former friends find themselves in the fight of their lives. This film is releasing in both 2D and 3D, this is the 2D version.

Box Office
Pete Hammond quote iconThis long-gestating screen adaptation of The Green Lantern, DC Comics' poor cousin to better known Batman and Superman franchises, boasts strong CGI effects, Ryan Reynolds' as a spirited and buff leading man and some nice aerial stunts, but it gets bogged down by a plot that borders on the absurd.
