What the Critics say

Box Office
Pam Grady quote iconReleased at Christmas with the family home for the holidays, the film's deficits probably won't matter much at the multiplex. This is a film destined to make money.

James Berardinelli quote iconWhy would anyone pay anything to see this movie, regardless of how many dimensions it's being shown in?

C. Fuchs quote iconIt's undeniably a commercial product of a studio system devoid of inspiration. But as a Jack Black vehicle and a product designed to entertain families, it succeeds.

Tomatometer quote iconThough Jack Black is back doing what he does best, Gulliver's Travels largely fails to do any justice to its source material, relying instead on juvenile humor and special effects.
