Kevin Crust quote iconSuperficial love story, with worms.
5
The Citizen
Natalie Bosman quote iconThere are many films that fall short when they try to cinematise novels, and Silk is one of them.
10
BBC
Neil Smith quote iconFor all its exotic detail, though, Francois Girard's film proves a cross-cultural yawn
5
Chicago Sunday Times
Roger Ebert quote iconSilk is a languid, too languid, story of romantic regrets, mostly ours, because romance is expected to carry the film without explaining it.
10
eye Weekly
Jason Anderson quote iconSumptuously presented but thin as rayon, this material needed a far more charismatic actor if it hoped to display any vital signs.
5
ReelViews
James Berardinelli quote iconBy any standards, Silk is a bad movie: pretentious, stillborn, devoid of emotion. It’s a perfect example of how awful direction and performances can ruin an adequate screenplay.
