Black is just not as cool as pastel pink...
Michael Mann brings his trendy 1980s cop-buddy drama to the big screen, switching the trademark pastels for darker tones. Two cops are sent undercover to investigate an inter-agency leak, and find themselves poking into a transnational smuggling ring run from South America. One of the baddies is a charming Chinese lady, and soon she and one of the cops are up close and personal. This conflict of interest threatens the whole investigation, as well as the cop partnership. Reviews have been mixed, complaining about the muddled plot.
