Drum

They probably think we're getting uppity... This biopic takes a look at the activities of Henry Nxumalo, who was a sports writer for the Drum magazine during the 1950s, when apartheid was starting to become institutionalised. At the prompting of his wife, he started to take in interest in what was happening beyond the world of sport, which led him to write a series of provocative and highly popular articles condemning the new policies. This led to problems with the magazine management, as well as the forces trying to bring apartheid in.

98 minutes, No persons under 13 (Language, Violence).
