The Story of an African Farm

Another movie version of the famous South African novel. Set in 1870 on a farm in the Karoo, two orphan girls are staying with their aunt on the farm. A charming scoundrel arrives, thinking that their aunt is wealthy. He sets about wooing her, and causing unheaval for the children. They, however, realise what he is up to, and set a trap for him with the help of their cousin. The novel caused a stir when published due to its strong feminist approach.
