The Day After Tomorrow

This year's big disaster movie is set in New York. As a result of global warming, the earth's climate enters a sudden new ice age. As the weather goes mad, and New York turns into an ice box, a scientist makes the trip from Washington to the big frozen apple to rescue his son. Expect plenty of great special effects. Make sure the cinema has a big screen and good sound system.
