The Italian Job

This remake of the 1969 original kicks off in Italy, where a gang of thieves mount a daring heist to steal 35 M$ in gold. Unfortunately, one of them gets greedy and escapes with the whole lot. A year later, the others want revenge, and their gold back. They rope in the daughter of their former mentor, since she inherited the safe-cracking skills. And so the stage is set for an even more daring heist, culminating in a hectic car chase around Los Angeles.

Ian Douglas: Possibly the longest car advert ever made, it sets out to be a crowd pleaser and mostly delivers. There are numerous plotholes, but they don't get in the way of a few good chase scenes. Weirdest moment: when people in the audience let out a collective ''Ohhh..'' as Charlize blew her cover.
