Captain Corelli's Mandolin


This wartime melodrama is set on a tiny Greek island. The Italians invade, and eventually settle into a cautious co-existence with the locals. The captain gets involved with a local lass, whose boyfriend has left to fight for Greece. Things develop between the two of them, until the Nazis take over and the boyfriend comes back...
