Relative Values

A British class-conscious romantic comedy, based on the Noel Coward play. A British earl creates a scandal by falling for a Hollywood star. His mother is still coming to terms with this when she discovers that her maid is actually the star's sister. And then the star's ex pops in from America to further complicate the picture, while the butler tries to calm the chaos...

Ian Douglas: Very lightweight for a comedy, perhaps sounding a little dated. Tripplehorn comes across as a curious combination of Marilyn and Jackie O. Andrews has put on quite a bit since her singing nun days. Will probably appeal more to the older generation.
