Detroit Rock City

Four teenage rockers who, beleaguered by the disco rage, are determined to finally see their heroes in concert, come hell or high water. Unfortunately, one of their devout Catholic mother and another's hysteric stupidity leave them ticketless with two hours to go before showtime. It's each man for himself, and the boys set out to score any way they can -- by stripping for cash, beating up a little kid or simply sneaking in...

Ian Douglas: Teenager fare, does not compare with American Pie and others of its ilk.

Stephan Olivier (21): It is stupid.

Shaun Myburg (21): Strictly for fans of KISS and rock'n'roll. Fantastic soundtrack and plenty of in jokes, the DVD comes with great music videos and some hilarious deleted scenes, so maybe it's best to wait for this one to be released on video. Still I enjoyed it, but not mainstream material.
