Velvet Goldmine

A curious film which also features in the Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. It is basically the tale of two rock stars, one British, the other American, who are deeply drawn to each other. The film alternates in time between the rise to fame of the Brit, and some years later, when a journalist, who was a fan, has to track down the ex star. The plot structures borrows heavily from Orwell's Citizen Kane which I found rather confusing at time, never quite sure where exactly I was in the story. The film contains explicit male nudity, as well as themetic material which may offend sensitive viewers.
The music is apparently quite good, but not being a fan of heavy rock, I won't comment.
