She's So Lovely

A romance of sorts. A loser, who was slightly cuckoo to start with, goes somewhat insane after his drunk wife is raped. She has him put in an institution. As time goes by, she marries a local businessman, and settles into married life. After 10 years, the ex-husband is released, and comes to reclaim his bride. She wants to leave her current husband and run off with him.

Shaun Myburg: Sean Penn is at his best in the depressing yet enjoyable love story, Penn's real life love for Robin Wright Penn is evident in his portrayel of a lunatic in love. While John Travolta's role is some what shorter than one would expect, he still delivers a near flawless performance once again. Not exactly a date movie but well worth the money if you're looking for some good depressing fun!

Clare Moolman: I feel strongly enough about this movie to warn anyone who was considering seeing it to - unless you get kicks out of a depressing movie with a less than pointless plot- to reconsider. This movie goes nowhere in an amazingly long period of time. It starts nowhere and ends, surprisingly, nowhere. Actors and actresses which one is not accustomed to seeing giving useless performances do just that in this total waste of fifteen bucks.
