Die bekende Suid-Afrikaanse regisseur, Jans Rautenbach skep in sy eie, magiese styl 'n silwerdoek-romanse met 'n pikante geur, met sterre, Katinka Heyns, Regardt van den Bergh en Jana Cilliers.

Sussie Botha is smoorverlief op die aantreklike, maar stil Paul Rossouw. Dan, op die aand van 'n spesiale afspraak, verdwyn Paul. Sussie is verpletter. Sy weet nie dat Paul haar misdadige broer, Gert, 'n klein fortuin skuld nie — wat teen middernag betaal moet word. In 'n desperate poging om die geld bymekaar te kry, neem hy deel aan 'n korrupte dobbelspel.

Op 'n vaal dag, wanneer Sussie roomys van haar roomyswa verkoop, sien sy Paul na haar aanloop. Haar prins het haar toe tog kom red.
