Lover Girl
Jake Ferrari (Tara Subkoff) is a teenage girl who likes candy more than anything else. When she is abruptly abandoned by her mother, Jake decides to track down, and move in with, her sister Darlene (Kristy Swanson). As it turns out, Darlene does not want her either. Jake is stranded until Marcia Guerra (Sandra Bernhardt) takes her in. Marcia runs "Jean's American Spa", a sexy, irreverant massage parlor next door. Marcia and Jake develop a strong bond. Jake soon becomes part of the American Spa "family" along with Teddy, Coco and Bambi. The result is a comic coming of age story about how family, modern love and candy can all be good for you... in small doses.
