CHARAS — A Joint Effort is an action-thriller set against the backdrop of narcotics running. The film begins with the disappearance of an English youth in the picturesque but dangerous locales of Kulu Manali. A Scotland Yard detective of Indian origin (Jimmy Shergill) investigates the disappearance but opens up a deadly can of worms that involves a drug-running racket operated by powerful political and police forces both in England and India.The detective teams up with a street-smart tourist guide (Uday Chopra) and the two team up to play a dangerous game of cat and mouse with their mighty adversaries. With beautiful Namrata Shirodkar and Hrishitaa Bhatt complementing the charismatic male leads.
