Stressed-out single mother Senga (Stowe) thinks her eyes are playing tricks on her when she begins to see strangely unsettling sights along a dark and desolate highway. But it's all a prelude to the surreal nightmare that begins when her rebellious young daughter (Mischa Barton — TV's The O.C.) disappears with a free-spirited hitchhiker (Bijou Phillips — Bully, Almost Famous).
