Buffalo Soldiers
Set just before the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989, Buffalo Soldiers is a darkly comic story of one soldier's misadventures in the military and the criminal drug culture among U.S. Army soldiers.It chronicles the exploits of military clerk Ray Elwood (Joaquin Phoenix) on an American Army base. Elwood is the ultimate risk-taker: a high-stakes arms dealer, drug dealer, a bureaucratic con artist and a shrewd collector of other people's secrets. He's managed to forge a lucrative career for himself in black market operations. But just as Elwood is poised to pull the biggest deal of his career, an obstacle appears: Sgt Lee (Scott Glenn), a tough Vietnam veteran intent on doing some housecleaning. Also starring Ed Harris, Gabriel Mann, Leon Robinson, Dean Stockwell and Elizabeth McGovern.
