Chain of Fools
Today is the first day of the rest of his life and, for inept barber Kresk, that's little encouragement. Then it happens. Kresk overhears information that -- if he hires a hitman, hides a body and doesn't fall in love with the policewoman trying to arrest him -- can make him rich today and forever.Larceny and laughs combine when Steve Zahn plays hapless Kresk, Salma Hayek is the cop he'd like to go undercover with, and a comical parade of characters are entangled in Kresk's scam to grab a fortune in rare coins. Among the characters: a con man who won't stay dead (Jeff Goldblum), a soft-hearted hitman (Elijah Wood), an overgrown Timberscout (David Cross), a billionaire (Tom Wilkinson), a cross-dressing nurse (Orlando Jones) and a terror of an ex-wife (Lara Flynn Boyle). It's an unbroken chain of hilarity!
