Queen of the Damned

Aaliyah plays the title role in Queen of the Damned , a stylish infusion of vampire lore based on Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles. Stuart Townsend portrays Lestat, the undead antihero previously seen in the recent screen adaptation of Rice's Interview with a Vampire.

This time, Lestat finds acceptance in a tattooed, pierced, black-clad world. He's a rock star. And his intoxicating Goth-riffed sound snakes around the globe and rekindles the desires of all-powerful Akasha.

Together, she and Lestat can rule forever. But a growing fascination may upend that reign: Lestat's fascination with a flesh-and-blood mortal (Marguerite Moreau).
