The tragic death of Marjorie O'Conner leaves her husband Jesse (Greg Evigan) and their sixteen-year-old daughter Kelly (Elisabeth Moss) stricken with grief. On that dark, rain-soaked night, she had swerved their car so as to avoid the impact from another and although this loving response had saved her daughter's life... it had left Kelly consumed with guilt over her mother's tragic death.Still mourning their loss, father and daughter decide to pack up and move to a new town and start a new life. However, they discover there has already been an intrusion in their new home and it is of a different nature altogether.
