After a brutal attack, Liddy Carlyle escapes her attackers and hitches a ride with newlyweds, Sean and Catherine Shawnessy who are heading home to introduce Catherine to Sean's parents.Just as Liddy tries on Catherine's beautiful wedding ring, Sean, distracted by his lovely bride, loses control of the car and crashes over the steep embankment. Liddy is thrown from the car just before it busts into flames. Several days late, she wakes up in the hospital to discover that not only is she the only survivor of the crash, but she been mistaken for Catherine Shawnessy.
