Prisoner of Darkness

Karen Holmes (Annabeth Gish) has been locked in a room in her mother's house for sixteen years. Constance won't let Hank see her daughter. Hank hopes Iris might be able to get through to her. Iris reluctantly accompanies Hank to Constance's house and what they find there horrifies them both. Filthy, wild and unable to speak, Karen lives in a dark room piled with garbage.

The doctors diagnose her as schizophrenic. Iris disagrees and gets Hank to release Karen into her custody and begins the arduous work of trying to bring Karen back to the world...
