Neil Simon's Laughter on the 23th Floor

Neil Simon's Laughter on the 23th Floor Based on his experiences as a writer on Sid Caesar's landmark TV series ''Your Show of Shows'', ''Neil Simon's Laughter on the 23th Floor'' unfolds in New York City during the mid 1950s.

Television has swept the nation, and Max Prince (Nathan Lane), a hugely talented but dangerously unpredictable funnyman, is its comedy king. Behind every king is his court, and Max's court is an eclectic group of hysterically funny writers. When they aren't arguing over sex, politics or whose turn it is to buy lunch, they produce the most original comedy on television.

When Max's ratings start to slip, the network cuts the show's length and censors its material, and Max and his writers decide to wage war... with side-splittingly funny results. Co-starring Mark Linn-Baker, Victor Garber and Peri Gilpin, ''Neil Simon's Laughter on the 23th Floor'' is his comic valentine to an era that changed entertainment history.
