Advice from a Caterpillar
A successfull Soho video artist whose work reveals a harsh but fashionable cynicism that is also reflected in her relationship with men, Missy (NIXON) avoids emotional intimacy by sleeping with Suit, a successful, married Wall Streeter who methodically schedules their weekly trysts in his Filofax, sandwiching them between his board meetings.Her best friend Spaz, is a larger then life, gay, failed performance artist who, in spite of himself, has become the most ''in'' caterer for society bashes. Spaz's current ''regular'' is Brat, a bisexual, Harley riding, struggling actor from New Jersey. Despite the obvious obstacles, Missy and Brat fall in love. How all this happens, and the resulting romantic rectangle, test everone's beliefs about what constitutes an acceptable relationship. Celebrating love and friendship in an age of irony and cynicism, ADVICE FROM A CATERPILLAR is a screwball comedy for the new millennium.
