Sharing a Los Angeles loft, roommates Daniel, Samantha and Peter find that success and fame are not necessarily what matter most in the world. When gorgeous young chef, Daniel, gets his ''big break'' cooking on his own ''live'' television show, he pours himself into his work with little time to spare. Soon, his friends feel abandoned - especially Samantha - the free-spirited young woman who is Daniel's best friend. Swept away by his new lifestyle, Daniel moves out of the loft and in with his sexy new agent and lover, Jacqueline who is intent on exploiting Daniel and his talent for her own selfish purposes. Feeling lost without Peter and Samantha, Daniel realises that the new people in his life are causing him more turmoil than joy and, when he is betrayed by them, all three friends discover the importance of love, loyalty and true friendship.
