The Tic Code
Miles is a smart, quick-witted twelve-year-old with a extraordinary talent for jazz piano, and a lot of trouble in his life. He also suffers from Tourette syndrome, a neurological disorder which causes uncontrollable tics. For Miles, the only escape is music. He finds refuge at the renowned greenwich Village jazz club, where older musicians easily accept him into their circle. One day while Miles is playing the piano at the club he meets his idol, the saxophonist Tyrone Pike. Much to the boy's shame, he is so nervous that his ticcing prevents his from playing. But Tyrone, as it turns out, also has Tourette, and finding Miles in a quiet moment, engages him in a magnificent duet.
