To earn money for college, pay rent and take care of her baby, a young woman named Diane becomes a stripper. Getting a good education and obtaining a respectable job are her anchors, allowing her to remain focused on the prize when faced with constant degradation and humiliation. Diane's problems are compounded when her visiting younger cousin, Ebony, becomes a stripper herself and gets involved with undesirables.
