Detective Don Morrell (Mario van Peebles) awakens screaming from a nightmare about serial killer Claude Whitman (James Remar). A nightmare he plans to put to closure today when he witnesses Whitman's state execution in the gas chamber.But did Whitman die? In a heavily guarded sector of a hospital, a patient is being brainwashed and given a new face, turning him into a secret government mercenary and assassin.
