It is the middle of summer, but sunny Los Angeles is no longer sunny. In fact, like most of the world, L.A. is now totally encased in ice. The only way the city can be traversed at all is with snowmobiles and snow cats.The limited number of survivors are battling over the even more limited number of snow vehicles available. One such snow cat has been acquired from the Los Angeles Police Department by Detective Robert Drake and, filled with the most unlikely, mismatched group of survivors you could imagine, is headed on a long and dangerous journey to the Long Beach Harbour where they hope to find safety. A magnificent tale of adventure and disaster.
