Vendetta

Upon the assassination of the police chief, hundreds of Sicilians were randomly rounded up as suspects. Nineteen were indicted, and nine were tried for murder.

When none were convicted, a dissatisfied mob of vigilantes took the law into their own hands and carried out the largest lynching in U.S. history. More than a hundred years after the fact, this little-known saga of prejudice and greed is finally being told on film.
