Supermodels who aren't what they seem, waiters who think they are actors and perilous on-the-job romances: it's just another day in New york. Matthew Modine co-stars here as Joe, a struggling actor and part-time waiter whose chronic unemployment could pull the rug out from under his relationship with high-fashion make-up artist Mary (Catherine Keener).Meanwhile, Joe's soap-opera-star friend, Bob (Maxwell Caulfield), is obsessed with sleeping with a 'real blonde'. Could living in the Big Apple be making these people just a little neurotic?
