Over the years, Gary (Garcia) has kept himself in the black and out of trouble through a combination of quick wit, fast talk, and an honour-amoung-thieves philosophy. But Gary's world is about to change when he is faced with two major problems: the break-up of his long-time relationship with Linda (Andie McDowell), who has finally wearied of his fast-and-loose life,and the sudden appearance of a ruthless rival who horns in on Gary's trade and threatens to become the city's newticket 'master'.With time running out, Gary must come up with a final big score with the Pope's visit to New York or run the risk of losing the love of his life, his livelihood and the last chance of his dreams.
