Craig Burton (Arnold Vosloo), an emergency room doctor,and his young wife, Sherry (Jillian McWhirter), are making passionate love when a blinding blue light engulfs them. The next thing they know, it's two hours later.Craig believes that he and his wife have undergone some 'alien encounter'. Shortly after Sherry discovers she's pregnant but the pregnancy is anything but normal. Craig teams up with alien abduction expert, Bert Clavell (Brad Dourif) to unravel the truth. Clavell questions Sherry and uncovers, in horrific detail, that she was impregnated by aliens. Craig realises that the only way to kill the Alien Fetus and to save his wife is to stop her heart, but will he be able to get he alien out in time before it is too late for Sherry?
