The Tribe

Change or Self destruct

The Tribe
Also known overseas as ’’Cuckold.’’ After his wife leaves him, a celebrated professor spirals into an alcohol-, marijuana- and sex-induced tailspin that places his career and his home in jeopardy. His path of self-destruction is interrupted only when he runs across an old school friend, who is now a failed motivational speaker. Taking pity on the speaker, the professor invites him home, and a friendship quickly develops. Through their emotionally honest communication, the professor begins healing. The speaker sees an opportunity to make some money by selling the marijuana growing in the backyard. When the professor’s wife returns, these three misfits live together, only to have the ante upped by an unexpected pregnancy. In Zulu and English with English subtitles.
